This hand-made rosewood chess set comprises of the hinged chess box, which opens up to form the playing board of approximate size 12 ” x 12”. The playing squares on the box/board measure 1-1/4"x1-1/4". The inside of the box is lined with foam inserts for storage of the hand carved Staunton chessmen. The chess men's king stands about 2.5" tall, and it's base width is slightly over 1" wide. Total set weighs about 2 pounds and 2.5 ounces.
