This magnetic chess set comprises of the hinged rosewood & boxwood chess box, which opens up to form the playing board of approximate size 10 ” x 10”. Playing squares measure 1"x1". Inside the box are stored the magnetic hand carved Staunton chessmen. The king's height is 1-3/4", with it's base width of 5/8". The inside of the box is lined with foam inserts for storage of the chess pieces. This makes for a great portable magnetic chess set at a great price.
